About Jadene
Jadene’s passion for design began at a young age, inspired by her artist father who introduced her to the world of creativity and craftsmanship. Growing up, she was frequently engaged in small building projects with him, sparking her fascination with construction and design. These early experiences ignited a lifelong love and facination for craftsmanship and design. As she honed her skills, Jadene developed a deep commitment to listening closely to her clients’ needs, always approaching each project with empathy. She believes that the best designs emerge when they are driven by an understanding of the people they are meant to serve. This dedication to “design that listens” is the core of her work, ensuring that each solution is not only innovative but also meaningful and aligned with her clients’ vision.
Early Years & Education
Jadene’s design journey began at Design Tech High School, where she spent four years mastering the principles of the Design Thinking process, a methodology pioneered by the Stanford d.school (Hasso Plattner Institute of Design). This early exposure to user-centered problem-solving laid the foundation for her design philosophy, emphasizing empathy, innovation, and iterative processes in every project.
Her passion for design led her to Europe, where she lived for six years, further expanding her educational and professional horizons. During this time, Jadene studied architecture at the University of Innsbruck, refining her understanding of spatial design, structures, and the intersection between form and function. She also pursued mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, gaining a solid technical and analytical grounding.
Throughout her time in Europe, Jadene deepened her knowledge of European design through both formal education and travel. Immersed in diverse cultural influences, she developed a unique global perspective that continues to shape her work. Drawing from these rich experiences, Jadene went on to found Auerbach Design Co., a studio that blends innovation, technical precision, and timeless aesthetics—principles shaped by her multifaceted education and international exposure.
